JUST ARRIVED, BUT SORRY, I'M ALREADY SOLD.
Gloriously red, one of Kahn's (or any lucite purse manufacture's) rarest colors. This has the satin appearing finish for which Kahn is so famous. The color is a brilliant shiny, sort of burgundy or maybe cranberry red that changes colors with the light, sometimes even showing wonderful golden tints. Most unusual.
This bag measures approximately 6-1/2" wide x 5" tall (without the handle) x 3-1/4" deep. The Charles Kahn label is missing, but if you get it in the light just right, you can still read the name, "Charles Kahn Inc, Miami, Florida USA," imprinted on the bag inside where the label used to be.
The clear handle and lid are carved on the undersides. The bottom is plain clear lucite. The handle stands nicely for display. You will find that the color on this bag varies in different lighting. We've tried to show a good representation of this in the photos.
This bag has no cracks, chips, warping, clouding, discoloration, or odors. There are minor scratches on the lucite, but none going through the color. All the feet are present and undamaged. All the hardware works perfectly but has lost some of its original shine. If the hardware had its original high gloss, we would have called this bag near mint, but it is still truly excellent!
Oops, the hazy area seen inside on the back panel is just dust. Came right off. There is no hazing.
You will be happy to find the clasp, while definitely dull, is not quite as dull in person, but we don't doctor photos and we like our customers to be surprised and pleased with their purchases.
Shiny as a mirror. That's me seen taking the photo below.
