SORRY, I'M ALREADY SOLD.
The label reveals that this bag was produced before 1963, the year the zip code went into effect. This bag still uses 47, the old 2-digit number for Miami. This bag is totally made of lucite, then covered with amazingly small gold beads and decoated with leaf appliques and jewels.
Amazing, near mint condition. No missing decorations, no cracks, odors, clouding, or discoloration. All the lucite feet are present. The clasp holds perfectly. There is the teeniest dent in the beaded overlay in the back, but no loss of beads. Really insignificant.
PLEASE NOTE, this bag does not have the original handle. The replacement looks amazing, but if you look under the lucite ends on each side you can see very small holes in the lid where the orginal handle apparently used 2 screws on each side for attaching. These are almost totally hidden; no one but an expert would ever notice. We've shown plenty of shots to prove it. However, even though this handle is a 50's/60's lucite handle, it is not the orginal, so we're offering a sizeable discount.
Remember, imperfection can mean opportunity!
